For our photographic shoot we don't need special lighting equipment as we are going to shoot outside and to use natural daylight. Also we don't need anything for creating our background because we are shooting outside, not in studio and, therefore, we will be able to use natural background, which is going to be a view on the city centre of Canterbury.
For the shooting process we are going to use Canon EOS 7D camera. This is is a semi-professional cropped sensor digital single-lens reflex camera made by Canon. Among its features are an 18.0 effective megapixel CMOS sensor, HD video recording, its 8.0 frames per second continuous shooting, new viewfinder which offers 1.0X magnification and 100% coverage, 19 point auto-focus system, movie mode, and built-in Speedlite transmitter.
We are going to use Canon 2042B002 EF 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Zoom Lens for this camera. It is a standard zoom lens designed with Canon's Optical Image Stabilizer technology while retaining the compactness and lightness of previous models. Its stabilization allows sharp hand-held shots at shutter speeds up to four stops slower than otherwise possible. It consists of 11 elements in 9 groups and uses an aspherical lens element to correct aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range and a circular aperture for exquisite rendering of out-of-focus backgrounds.
Also we are going to use a tripod Velbon DV6000. It has a stable, sturdy design and can support a camera or camcorder up to 4kg. The Tripod comes with a PH-358 Pivoting Panhead and has a crank to adjust the height. It will help us to make a clear photo without a blur.
Also we need to use props as our photo is going to be used as advertisement of music institution. We have chosen a guitar as a symbol of music.
Our model is going to wear just casual clothes. We have decided not to use any special costumes as they are inappropriate for our idea. We want to try to get the attention of the audience to the guitar as this is a subject we are going to promote. Therefore, costumes shouldn't distract people's attention.
