Theme for photo shoot P2 (b)

We have chosen a music theme as an idea for our photographic shoot. We are going to take a picture of a girl with the guitar who is sitting somewhere on the Top Hill. Top Hill is the best place in Canterbury from where you can see the whole city centre and to see how beautiful, old and with a great history is Canterbury. We have decided to take our shoot outside as the background is going to be more interesting, therefore, a photo will be looking more attractive. If it were a studio photo, there would be nothing eye-catching on the background and as a result our idea won't be fully expressed. 

We are promoting the music instrument such as a guitar. So the main object on our picture is going to be a guitar. In order to make a best advertisement of this instrument we have to make sure the girl (model who will be sitting with the guitar) won't distract the attention of audience from the guitar to herself. Therefore, we have decided that she doesn't need to look at the camera, it would be better if she will look somewhere at the side. Even part of her face might be hidden by her hair.

The guitar as a music instrument represents the whole music institution. Therefore, our photographic shoot might be used as an advertisement for some music shops as it will help to attract more people to music instruments and therefore, more customers would like to come to a shop to have a look on the instruments and buy something. 

Maria and I have also discussed the style of our picture. We want to make a bit old style photo as the background is going to be historical. We are going to achieve this 'old style' by using an appropriate lighting and the whole atmosphere of the image will help us with it as well.  Our model will be wearing casual modern clothes. 

Fitness for purpose.

The pictures will help to advertise the music institution because we are using a guitar as the main subject for our photoshoot.  We are planning to take the pictures and edit them in such way that when the audience will look at them, its attention will be paid on the guitar rather than on the model. This will allow us to meet our fitness for purpose and to promote the music institution. Then the pictures can be used as the cover for CDs or as advertisement for the shops with music instruments.
